Chilly weather in Wichita

What's the coldest temperature ever recorded in Wichita during September?

On Sept. 30, 1984, the morning low in Wichita dropped to 31 degrees. The earliest freeze on record for the city occurred on Sept. 22, 1995, when Wichita's low dropped to 32 (a record low for the day). This was part of a large, cold blast that had a substantial impact on late-season crops around the state. Topeka and Concordia also set record lows: 31 and 29 degrees, respectively.
