"J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life"

Timed to the release of the newest Harry Potter film, this hour-long documentary follows the author during the months prior to publication of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the final book in the series. The program shows the one- bedroom Scottish apartment where the saga began as well as scenes from Rowling's hometown, the church where she once worked as a janitor and her life as a mother. 7 p.m., ABC and KAKE, Channel 10.

There's someone else in town with special powers. In this new episode, Toby (Craig Olejnik) sees a woman revive a baby who's been seriously injured, and he realizes she has a gift similar to his own. When he gets to know her, he discovers that like him, she has mixed feelings about her ability to heal people, especially when it doesn't work. 9:01 p.m., NBC and KSNW, Channel 3.

"Stanley and Livingstone"

Based on a true story, this surprisingly engaging 1939 drama charts the efforts of New York Herald reporter Henry Morton Stanley (Spencer Tracy) as he travels to darkest Africa in search of "lost" Scottish missionary and humanitarian Dr. David Livingstone (Sir Cedric Hardwicke). 7 p.m., TCM, Channel 65.

"Beau Geste"

Three inseparable brothers (Gary Cooper, Ray Milland, Robert Preston) leave England following the mysterious theft of a family heirloom and join the Foreign Legion on an assignment in North Africa in this 1939 adaptation of Percival Christopher Wren's novel. 9 p.m., TCM, Channel 65.
