Man killed in collision southwest of Wichita

WICHITA — One person has been killed and another injured in a collision early this afternoon southwest of Wichita, authorities said.

A truck and an SUV collided at 135th Street West and 31st Street South just before 12:40 p.m., a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said a 73-year-old Wichita man died at the scene. A second victim was taken by ambulance to Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus for treatment.
