"American Masters"

This new 90-minute episode goes behind the scenes of the radio show "A Prairie Home Companion," created by humorist and commentator Garrison Keillor, the man who came up with Lake Wobegon, the fictional "hometown" for fans of the long-running show. Keillor's folksy style masks a shrewd ability to capture the current spirit of the country at large, blended with humor and pathos. 7 p.m., PBS and KPTS, Channel 8.

"The Fashion Show"

The designers must create loungewear to complement best-selling luxury robes by designer Fernando Sanchez, with the winning creation to be sold at Saks Fifth Avenue. And the contestants are taken to a tarot card reader to learn their futures, only to discover that this weird interlude will have an effect on their resulting design. Vivienne Tam is guest judge for the new episode. 9 p.m., Bravo, Channel 61.

"Blood Diamond"

Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou were Oscar-nominated for their work in director Edward Zwick's exciting and socially conscious drama about two men uncomfortably aligned in the search for a rare gem in late 1990s Africa. A smuggler (DiCaprio) and a farmer just released from prison (Hounsou) have different motives for the pursuit. Jennifer Connelly also stars as a reporter who gets in on the hunt. 7 p.m., USA, Channel 28.
