More storms threaten Greensburg; cleanup volunteers being kept out

Severe weather could threaten the Greensburg area Tuesday and Tuesday night, so volunteers will not be permitted inside the decimated Kiowa County town.

Because upwards of 95 percent of the town was damaged or destroyed by the EF5 tornado on the night of May 4, little shelter is available for residents and volunteers who are assisting with clean-up, state emergency management officials said.

Storms are also possible in the area tonight, and residents are being asked to leave town to seek shelter.
