Eastminster Presbyterian Church will hold a public Town Hall meeting on Islam on May 11.
In the event, "Jesus in the Muslim World," Don McCurry, a missionary in Pakistan for 18 years and founder of Ministries to Muslims, will explore what Muslims believe and how people can reach out to them.
There is no cost to attend the event. It begins at 7 p.m. at the church, 1958 N. Webb Road.
Community service set in Greensburg
The Kiowa County Ministerial Alliance will host a community worship service Sunday in Greensburg.
The service is being held on the one-year anniversary of the tornado that struck Greensburg. The alliance is made up of people and churches from various religious backgrounds in Kiowa County.
The service is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Davis Park, on the east end of Greensburg. A tent will be set up at the park for the service.
Summit Church to dedicate building
Summit Church will dedicate its newly renovated church building at 10225 E. Kellogg today.
Summit Church had temporarily met earlier this year at a theater at the Wild West World theme park. After the park went bankrupt, the church moved to a nearby Park City motel.
It bought the East Kellogg building, once used by Pizza Hut and later by Raytheon Aircraft, last year, renovated it and moved in earlier last month.
The dedication is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Muslim group to host World Bazaar
The Muslim Sisters of Wichita will host the third annual World Bazaar today at the Muslim Community Center, 6655 E. 34th St. North.
The event features custom arts and crafts, Middle Eastern attire, food, music and jewelry. It will also include a car show and horseback rides for children.
It runs from noon to 6 p.m. There is no admission cost.
Church sale to raise funds for AC units
Metropolitan Community Church will hold a yard sale Thursday and Friday to raise money to replace its air-conditioning units.
The sale will run from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day at the church, 156 S. Kansas.
The church will also hold a "Cut-A-Thon" and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 19 at Riverside Hair Station, 816 E. 11th St., to raise funds for the units. Haircut cost is a $5 suggested donation.
