Dear Tom and Ray:
At first glance, you would guess that Earl Lauer is a dyed-in-the-wool Mustang guy. His current fleet includes three classic Mustangs and he sold a fourth not long ago.
Dear Tom and Ray:
Doug Patten made his mark in auto restoration bringing the classic 1966-67 Pontiac GTOs back to life after hours in his garage in Leoti. But when he had the chance to buy a copy of the completely restyled '68 GTO convertible, he recognized what a significant car it was, so he grabbed it and stashed it in one corner of his shop, always meaning to restore it.

Dear Tom and Ray:
BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. —It was a once-in-a-lifetime deal, at least for me.
Dear Tom and Ray:
AUGUSTA — One of the most dangerous duties a GI can undertake in a war zone is escorting a convoy of slow-moving cargo trucks through enemy territory.
Dear Tom and Ray:
Automobiles and airplanes seem to share a natural affinity as mechanical means of conveyance. Find a spot where aircraft are designed, built or assembled, and it's a safe bet there will be fascinating automobiles nearby.

Here's a deep, dark secret shared by most car guys and gals. They may be able to design, build and finish amazing looking cars, but when it comes time to photograph them, their skills leave something to be desired.
